Every single sport has a movie drama with an underdog no one believes in us story. Some of the best sports movies are Cinderella tales like this - Rocky, Rudy, Karate Kid, Bad News Bears, heck most of this basketball list falls under the banner. This one involves Catholic women from an age ago (60s). I wasn't too familiar with Jeffrey Donovan other than what he did in Hitch, but he has enough charisma here to carry you through the story. Samantha Mathis was Daisy in Super Mario and Frank Castle's wife in Punisher. Bruce Dern seems like a villain in everything he plays and is no exception here. I didn't necessarily feel like I was able to learn about the player characters very much, I don't think the movie does a great job at separating the ladies in the way that was meaningful. It isn't as clunky as Hurricane Season in character building, but it's no Remember the Titans either. It felt like an extra ending was tacked on, even though it wasn't a bad scene, most of these movies don't have a conclusion typically outside of the court. Our highest IMDB score so far. The very last scene was neat as it was a based on a true story and showed the actual team celebrating the coach.

50 Favorite Adult Swim Characters

I tried to get a good variety and yet be fair to what I like the most. I'm sure there are one I've missed and some that might be surprising but if it aired on Adult Swim - I can use it. I didn't use any characters from either Robot Chicken or Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! as they are basically clip shows and while good, the re-occurring characters aren't used enough.
