The draft that finally did it. Got Matt Millen fired, got the Lions a win-less season. 9 picks, not much hit well. What more could you ask...

1. (17) Gosder Cherilus T Boston College

My pick:
15. (15) Kansas City Chiefs - Albert, Branden OG

Also could of had:
18. (18) Baltimore Ravens - Flacco, Joe QB
20. (20) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Talib, Aqib CB
23. (23) Pittsburgh Steelers - Mendenhall, Rashard RB
24. (24) Tennessee Titans - Johnson, Chris RB
25. (25) Dallas Cowboys - Jenkins, Mike CB
30. (30) New York Jets - Keller, Dustin TE
4. (35) Kansas City Chiefs - Flowers, Brandon CB
6. (37) Atlanta Falcons - Lofton, Curtis LB
11. (42) Denver Broncos - Royal, Eddie WR
13. (44) Chicago Bears - Forte, Matt RB

The lions traded down 2 spots to the Chiefs, who in turn took the player I wanted the lions to pick. Though the Lions did attempt addressing the offensive line, doesn't look like Cherilus lived up to a number one pick.

My pick:
18. (49) Philadelphia Eagles - Jackson, DeSean WR

Also could of had:
17. (48) Washington Redskins - Davis, Fred TE
24. (55) Baltimore Ravens - Rice, Ray RB
31. (62) New England Patriots - Wheatley, Terrence CB

My how I love Desean Jackson, he is so quick. Love watching Vick and Jackson on the same team. Wheatley didn't cut it, so scratch that. Other ideas - Malcom Kelly, Chad Henne? After a strong first round, it kind of fell off here in talent.

My pick:
10. (73) Kansas City Chiefs - Charles, Jamaal RB

Also could of had:

28. (91) Green Bay Packers - Finley, Jermichael TE
30. (93) Indianapolis Colts - Wheeler, Philip OLB
32. (95) New York Giants - Manningham, Mario WR
23. (122) Dallas Cowboys - Choice, Tashard RB
28. (127) Indianapolis Colts - Tamme, Jacob TE

I didn't hate these picks at the time, still don't. There were better choices than Smith, but you really can't argue with Avril.

So all fantasy football talent here. That may be all I know, but it doesn't look like there was much else to choose from here.

I tried to get a good variety and yet be fair to what I like the most. I'm sure there are one I've missed and some that might be surprising but if it aired on Adult Swim - I can use it. Vexing Devil Giving an opponent a choice is never a good idea. However I really feel like it's win win here in the aggressive deck. A 4/3 for one will almost always be worth a card. So the real question is - is it worth a card to deal 4 damage for a red? It's not quite Flame Slash good in a control deck, or as great top deck as Thunderous Wrath but better than Thunderbolt or Lava Axe . 19. Scute Mob Not a true one drop. But by turn six hopefully you are going get a hydra-like insect that will quickly get insanely huge if not dealt with. My biggest issue is that it doesn't have trample.
