I just re-watched this movie not too long ago. It took me three nights, though the film is broken up into two parts basically (pre and post montage and Frank’s death). The first part of the movie is vastly superior to the second as it’s more fun to root for the underdog Tony instead of the cracked out abuser. The only other scene I considered was the chainsaw scene though I really like the death of Frank. Neither is as rewatchable in a vacuum as the ending though. Michelle Pfeiffer’s first role. The movie wasn’t even filmed in Miami. It’s long at 170 minutes but the ending feels rushed. Tony’s betrayal of Sosa and his sister going crazy with the death of Manny leads to an epic showdown where he gets shot many times but not before he makes his mark and dies in a pool next to the World is Yours statue.
