Top 30 Movies I Want To See In 2025

It's been awhile since I've done one of these but someone inspired me.

Top 30 Movies I Want To See In 2016

I have a complete list of 45 so I will go quickly. Not many decent pictures. Sometimes it's hard to know if a specific movie won't ever get made (Gambit) or gets delayed for a long time (Avatar 2), but everyone just gives their best prediction based on what is expected.

15 Movies that have potential enough for me to mention but not good enough to make a top 30 list.

Hand of Dante - Is this a real movie? Gerard Butler, Martin Scorsese, Gal Gadot, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa and Al Pacino,

28 Years Later - Didn't really love the first two. No Cillian Murphy. The third one is usually the worst, especially after a long delay between two and three.

Tron: Ares - Didn't really like the first two. And Jared Leto ugh. The third one is usually the worst, especially after a long delay between one and two.

Ash - Space horror reminds me of Prometheus from the screenshots.

The Smashing Machine - The Rock as some famous MMA fighter I've never heard of.

The History of Sound - Story of recording some audio for WW1.

The Amateur - Love me some Rami Malek and love me some good revenge movies.

Mickey 17 - Space possible cloning story just looks neither funny enough nor serious enough. I'm basing that mostly on vibes from the trailer, but I hope I'm wrong.

Novocaine - That one The Boys actor can't feel pain so he goes after some kidnappers that take his date.

Ballerina - John Wick the Movie, John Wick the TV Show, John Wick the Breakfast Cereal and best of all John Wick the Ballerina. May the Schwartz Be With You.

Snow White - Gal Gadot faces off against some vertically challenged totally straight lumberjacks that live together with a lady who has a malus domestica allergy.

Wolfman - This year we are given a Wolfman movie, a Dracula movie, a Frankenstein movie, a Bride of Frankenstein movie. The Wolfman is my least favorite of the bunch.

The Black Phone 2 - I liked the first one okay, but they should have left it alone.

Five Night at Freddy's 2 - I liked the first one almost as much as Willie's Wonderland, but they should have left it alone.

Megan 2.0 - I liked the first one okay, but they should have left it alone.

Top 30 I Want to See

30. The Ritual
The Ritual
I like about 90% of all Exorcism movies and about 90% of Al Pacino movies so this has good chance with me.

29. Companion
Companion
It looks like a creepy mystery thriller with that one The Boys actor.

28. Sinners
Sinners
Coogler and Jordan team up again, this time a horror story about two brothers.

27. Dracula: A Love Tale
Dracula A Love Tale
There's like 5000 Dracula movies and most of them are the same. Even Vampire in Brooklyn and Dracula: Dead and Loving It are basically the same story. I liked what Dracula Untold did but that was a prequel. I love the movie Van Helsing, but it's definitely not a typical Dracula movie. Bring on the Luc Besson and Christoph Waltz version.

26. Halloween Aftermath
Halloween Aftermath
I really thought they were going to be done with these for awhile so this feels like some joke. I'll still probably end up watching it once.

25. Now You See Me 3
Now You See Me 3
I like the first two pretty well. Cast is rounded, never was a dull moment with the first two.

24. Frankenstein
Frankenstein
I'm pretty interested for Guillermo del Toro's take on the creature. Like Dracula though, what new element can you add to make the story and characters better.

23. Thread: An Insidious Tale
Thread An Insidious Tale
Insidious 6, unless you don't want to call this a sequel. I like haunted house ghost demon movies. They rarely stick in my memory for long, but rarely are bad.

22. The Bride
The Bride
The Bride of Frankenstein with both of the Gyllenhaals and Christian Bale in a musical?

21. Presence
Presence
I'm more stoked due to wanting to see what Steven Soderbergh does for a horror movie. The trailer crossed all the Ts as well.

20. Uppercut
Uppercut
I saw the trailer for this as well but I don't think it really explains what it sounds like the story is supposed to be. I'm also a big fan of boxing movies and games even though I wouldn't watch it in real life.

19. Nuremberg
Nuremberg
This is as good as it gets, the rest of my list is remakes and sequels. Love me some Rami Malek and love me some courtroom movies. Book movie about the trials of the Nazis and trying to get one of Hitler's right hand men Goring to talk. Malek goes toe to toe with Crowe in a Battle of Wits, maybe I dunno. Cast also includes Michael Shannon and Colin Hanks.

18. Predator: Badlands
Predator Badlands
Seems like The Predator wasn't a big enough disaster and Prey was good enough to keep the sequel train rolling. I think people are mostly fine with just the constant remake of the OG Predator movie in different times and settings. Stick to the Basics.

17. Thunderbolts
Thunderbolts
Generic Marvel MCU movies will make my list still even though I'm still pretty far removed from things since End Game. I did watch Black Widow, which this seems like a direct sequel to. I'm more excited about Bucky's return than The Falcon.

16. The Conjuring: Last Rites
The Conjuring Last Rites
Everything I said about the Insidious universe just with The Conjuring. I like The Conjuring more than Insidious but this gets the extra bump from having Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return.

15. Jurassic World Rebirth
Jurassic World Rebirth
Like Halloween, I thought this franchise would be on the backburner for awhile but here we go again.
Gareth Edwards really wanted his Dinosaur movie to happen even though he did Godzilla. He is still rolling on his Rogue One resume to me. Scarlett Johansson becomes the lead now.

14. Star Trek: Section 31
Star Trek Section 31
I don't know what this is, I'm assuming it's a movie because it says so on the poster, but who knows how good. I'll watch it but maybe not 10 times like I did with Star Trek 2009.

13. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Wake Up Dead Man A Knives Out Mystery
I had so much fun with Glass Onion, I'm ready to do it again.

12. Return of the Living Dead
Return of the Living Dead
It won't top the OG 80's movie, but hopefully it's better than Return 2, 3, 4.

11. The Naked Gun
Naked Gun
I hope it sticks to the same energy and joke level as the originals to make it feel like a Zucker and Abrahams remake. Neeson has a large task in front of him.

10. Mortal Kombat 2
Mortal Kombat 2
Honestly just has to be better than this and it's an improvement.

9. Saw 11
Saw 11
I really enjoyed Saw X. Spiral was better than I hoped as well. It certainly feels like this era of Saw movies is better than 6-8 at least and probably 4 and 5. Someday when this is all over someone will make a timeline of this entire thing in order.

8. Captain America: Brave New World
Captain America Brave New World
Anthony Mackie doesn't excite me. Flying Captain America doesn't excite me. Is he actually Captain America even if he doesn't take the serum? Does that just make him The Falcon with a shield? Red Hulk could excite me if Harrison Ford doesn't sleep walk through this paycheck.

7. Kung Fury 2
Kung Fury 2
I have been freaking waiting for this thing to come out and I have hopes it will. Fassbender has long been attached to it but now it says Arnie is in it. I love that they call it Kung Fury 2 respecting the original. It might have to be funnier than it could have been 5 years ago.

6. Happy Gilmore 2
Happy Gilmore 2
Something I didn't know I needed and probably still don't. Happy Gilmore has long been my favorite Adam Sandler movie. Beetlejuice 2, Anchorman 2, Super Troopers 2 and Zoolander 2 are not good omens.

5. The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The Fantastic Four First Steps
Yes I like pain or it might seem like I must. I would have trusted something like this more 5 years ago. Just give me a Purple Galactus or an alternate universe Tony Stark becoming Dr. Doom and I will be as happy as someone who didn't go see The Fantastic Four.

4. Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning
Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning
I still haven't watched the previous movie, the first reckoning? I've enjoyed every movie in the series though, even the shitty one with the virus.

3. Avatar: Fire and Ash
Avatar Fire and Ash
I would be shocked if this actually came out on time. The delay between movies really hurt my interest. I really enjoyed that first one even if it was mostly due to the effects. I only watched The Way of Water once (it's not as easy to find 3 and a half hours). I think I'm ready for the story to end, but I have a feeling we have at least one more of these in us before any kind of resolution.

2. Superman
Superman
I think if I had my way I would get Snyder to keep doing DCU and James Gunn to keep doing Guardians movies. That said I liked Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad. Snyder feels kind of George Lucasian to me where I don't think he has collaborators, just Yes men. 5 tweeks to both Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman and you could have had something special. Gunn works with the same people that I would hope push back on him a bit if an idea wasn't good enough.

1. Karate Kid: Legends
Karate Kid Legends
I never could have expected this to become reality. Which one is going to be the fish out of water here? I love Cobra Kai, I enjoyed the Jackie Chan remake. Even Karate Kid 3 I have fond childhood memories of. I could have done without The Next probably but when else could you see Pat Morita fighting Jester.

50 Favorite Adult Swim Characters

I tried to get a good variety and yet be fair to what I like the most. I'm sure there are one I've missed and some that might be surprising but if it aired on Adult Swim - I can use it. I didn't use any characters from either Robot Chicken or Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! as they are basically clip shows and while good, the re-occurring characters aren't used enough. Also, it turns out H. Jon Benjamin is the voice for half these shows. 50. Chains     Fat Guy Stuck in Internet 49. Assy McGee    Assy McGee H. Jon Benjamin plays the mayor. 48. The Mayor    Tom Goes to the Mayor A Picture of Jeff Goldbloom instead of the Mayor, but this was by far the funniest thing on the show. 47. Inuyasha    Inuyasha 46. Satan     Lucy: The Daughter of the Devil Wears Bill Cosby sweaters and is always trying to kill his daughters boyfriend DJ Jesus. Yeah... One of the H. Jon Benjamin voices...

Vexing Devil Giving an opponent a choice is never a good idea. However I really feel like it's win win here in the aggressive deck. A 4/3 for one will almost always be worth a card. So the real question is - is it worth a card to deal 4 damage for a red? It's not quite Flame Slash good in a control deck, or as great top deck as Thunderous Wrath but better than Thunderbolt or Lava Axe . 19. Scute Mob Not a true one drop. But by turn six hopefully you are going get a hydra-like insect that will quickly get insanely huge if not dealt with. My biggest issue is that it doesn't have trample. It's still a great costed creature that can do some work if unchecked. There are lots of ways to give it Trample in Green not named Rancor . 18. Dragonmaster Outcast And yet another non-true o...
