40. American History X

Great use of black and white. Edward Norton tries to save his brother Edward Furlong from going down the same path that he did. Norton steals the show and the dialogue is amazing. Takes some time to get into it I feel, but once your there you are hooked.

Bob Sweeney: There was a moment, when I used to blame everything and everyone for all the pain and suffering and vile things that happened to me, that I saw happen to my people. Used to blame everybody. Blamed white people, blamed society, blamed God. I didn't get no answers 'cause I was asking the wrong questions. You have to ask the right questions.

39. Super Troopers

Tons of one liners, very entertaing. Highway patrolmen way more entertaining then Reno-911 ever are. Cameo by Jim Gaffigan and stars Brian Cox and the Broken Lizard gang. Still waiting for number 2.

38. Indiana Jones

I think I give the third one more credit than most people and give the first one less than most. I think I agree with the populace that the second and fourth one aren't as great, though I do enjoy some scenes in Temple of Doom. Didn't like Lebeouf in Crystal skull.

37. Exorcist

Possesion of the girl Regan. Priests try to help, sort of succeed. Scary and shocking. Fantastic score. Created a whole sub-genre all by itself. Possibly the greatest horror movie ever made, except this one...

36. The Shining

The overlook hotel, I think we can say is haunted. Though it's really hard the way they tell it through most of the movie, whether or not Jack Torrance is just crazy. Fantastic acting both by Jack and Wendy. The actual shining part doesn't really do much.

Jack Torrance: Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life. I'm not gonna hurt ya. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I said, I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just going to bash your brains in.

35. Scarface

The rise and fall of Tony Montana. Best Pacino movie. Best drug movie. I didn't see Godfather before making this list so you won't see that movie, but I still like this one better. "I'd just stay home all day, watch Scarface 50 times, eat a turkey sandwich..." - Dave Chappelle as Puff Daddy.

Tony Montana: Me, I want what's coming to me.

34. A Time to Kill

Matthew McConaughey's greatest movie going up against Kevin Spacey in defending Samuel Jackson up for murdering two people. Race riots and questions endure. Wouldn't exactly call it a tale of redemption or revenge but it is moving. Cast includes Donald Sutherland, kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Sandra Bullock.

Carl Lee Hailey: You're white, and I'm black. See Jake, you think just like them. That's why I picked you. You're one of them, don't you see? Oh, you think you ain't 'cause you eat in Claude's and you out there trying to get me off on TV talking about black and white. But the fact is you're just like all the rest of them. When you look at me, you don't see a man, you see a black man.

33. Robin Hood Men In Tights

Spoof closer to Errol Flynn's original Robin Hood. Cary Elwes is fantastic in this comedy. Dave Chappelle and Isaac Hayes show up and both Prince John and the sherrif are both hilarious. Mel Brooks came through with a great movie, as good as Blazing Saddles or Spaceballs, maybe not but if you like Robin Hood like I do then maybe you will also like it a lot.

Prince John: Such an unusual name, "Latrine." How did your family come by it?
Latrine: We changed it in the 9th century.
Prince John: You mean you changed it TO "Latrine"?
Latrine: Yeah. Used to be "Shithouse."
Prince John: It's a good change. That's a good change!

32. Bloodsport

JCVD's best movie in my mind, and probably in everyones mind. The plot is basically a fighting tournament. The training scenes and fight scenes are amazing. Ray Jackson is comic relief and theres plenty of stakes here. Soundtrack dominates most of the movie as there aren't many speaking lines.

Frank Dux: Go for the gut. He's soft there.
Ray Jackson: What the hell are you talking about?
Frank Dux: Chong Li's weak in the gut. That's how Parades surprised him.
Frank Dux: Hey. You listening to me? Go for the stomach. And stay away from his right leg.
Ray Jackson: Will you stop worrying, Frankie? I've got it under control. You sound like my mother. Man alive.

31. Independence Day

Pretty sure most people at least recognize what this alien movie is even if they don't like it. The beginning of the blockbuster. I don't think the movies that came out the year before - Batman Forever, Toystory, Mortal Kombat, Ace Ventura 2, Golden Eye would really qualify. Goldbloom is excellent in everything, Will Smith is enjoyable and of course Lonestar!

30. Total Recall

The What: Worker begins to suspect he's a spy. Good cast: Ethan Hawke, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel.
The Why: Remake albeit unnecessary. Like Colin Farrell, don't love him.

29. World War Z

The What: A UN representative, writing a report on the great zombie war, interviews survivors in the wake of World War Z.
The Why: Brad Pitt shows up which is a plus. Zombie movies are generally fun, but just very skeptical of this one.

28. The Devil Inside

The What: A woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her mother.
The Why: I enjoy exorcist movies, though they have all fallen short since the original. I keep hoping though. Disjointed bodies freak me out.

27. Halloween 3D

The What: Not much is known, but it's 3D. Yeah!? I never actually saw the second, though I enjoy the first immensely.
The Why: No Rob Zombie. If it's anything like the first Halloween 3 movie, it will be the end of cinema.

26. Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters

The What: 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches. Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen
The Why: Fairly intriguing premise compared to the other *remakes coming - snow white, jack and the beanstalk, battleship.

25. The Divide

The What: Survivors of a nuclear attack are grouped together for days in the basement of their apartment building, where fear and dwindling supplies wear away at them.
The Why: Michael Biehn and Milo Ventimiglia are two of my favorite actors. Not sure where this one is going.

24. Ted

The What: A story centered on a man and his teddy bear, who comes to life as the result of a childhood wish.
The Why: Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale and Seth MacFarlane - what more could you ask for. Except if it's aimed at Children.

23. Dark Shadows

The What: A Gothic tale centering on the life of vampire Barnabas Collins and his run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts.
The Why: The trio is back - Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton along with Michelle Pfeiffer. Enough to sell me.

22. The Raven

The What: A fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, in which the poet pursues a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer's stories.
The Why: Enjoyable poem, John Cusack. Hopefully a nice Halloween movie when the time comes around.

21. Jack The Giant Killer

The What: The long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.
The Why: Trailer was interesting, Ewan McGregor and Warwick Davis. Love me Bryan Singer.

20. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

The What: President Lincoln's mother is killed by a supernatural creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers.
The Why: I think the premise speaks for itself. Tall order. Could be very bad/very good.

19. Snow White and the Huntsman

The What: The Hunter ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.
The Why: Good trailer, doesn't look childreny. Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. No dwarves?

18. Safe House

The What: A CIA agent is tasked with looking after a fugitive in a safe house. But when the safe house is attacked, he finds himself on the run with his charge.
The Why: Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds can both hold me for 2 hours. Zero problem with this.

17. Scary Movie 5

The What: Not positive this will happen. Every movie poster I've looked at hasn't been funny.
The Why: Number 1 was enjoyable. 3 and 4 really blend in together as below average. Hopefully this doesn't fall to the horrendous level of the other 'movies'.

16. John Carter of Mars

The What: Transplanted to Mars, a Civil War vet discovers a lush planet inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians.
The Why: Eye candy galore! Made by Disney though so probably too much fluff.

15. I Hate You, Dad/Donny's Boy

The What: A father moves in with his son right before his wedding and soon begins sparring with his daughter-in-law.
The Why: Vanilla Ice as a wedding planner. Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Steve from 90210. And like at least 5 other actors I'm interested in.

14. Wrath of the Titans

The What: Perseus embarks on a quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, who has been targeted for capture by his son, Ares, and his brother, Hades.
The Why: Doesn't have to follow the first one's lame story line. Hopefully the special effects are better. Release the other Kracken!?

13. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

The What: As Johnny Blaze hides out in Eastern Europe, he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form.
The Why: Nicolas Cage is back? Trailer held my interest and looks to separate itself from the original.

12. Lincoln

The What: Lincoln's life, no vampires.
The Why: Sounds depressing until you hear Daniel Day-Lewis is going to play the President. All in! Steven Spielberg directing with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tommy Lee Jones.

11. The Dictator

The What: The story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.
The Why: Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, John C. Reilly, Megan Fox. Probably the closest we'll ever get to Borat 2. Trailer had me laughing out loud at least once.

10. Looper

The What: A killer who works for the mob of the future recognizes one of his targets as his future self.
The Why: Bruce Willis. Time travel movies get me and this one has potential all over it. I've heard a different synopsis than this which sounded better.

9. Men in Black III

The What: Agent J travels in time to MIB's early years in the 1960s, to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K and changing history.
The Why: Curious about where they are going with this one. Hopefully doesn't have the boring romance plot of the second one.

8. The Expendables 2

The What: Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat.
The Why: Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li. If you're a guy, seriously.

7. Django Unchained

The What: With the help of his mentor, a slave-turned-bounty hunter sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner.
The Why: Quentin Tarantino could make Freddy Got Fingered 2 at this point and I'd eat it up. Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kurt Russell and of course Sammie!!

6. G.I. Joe: Retaliation

The What: The G.I. Joe team faces off against Zartan, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence.
The Why: Less Waynes Brothers, more The Rock and Bruce Willis. Arnold Vosloo, Ray Park and Channing Tatum are all back which is the heart for me. Better Cobra Commander hopefully?

5. The Amazing Spider-Man

The What: Teenager Peter Parker grapples with both human problems and amazing super-human crises.
The Why: Trailer looks too twighlity for me. Not sold on Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone doesn't seem to fit to me.

4. Prometheus

The What: A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
The Why: Everything about it screams new Alien movie/prequel(Ridley Scott!!). But we don't know that. So many questions, including that giant face. Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron.

3. The Avengers

The What: Nick Fury and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki & his army.
The Why: The movie of all movies....until Avengers 2. Will be drawn to every moment of this, but how well will it work?

2. The Dark Knight Rises

The What: Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes.
The Why: Bane looks fun, for some reason I just trust Christopher Nolan's script so much.

1. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The What: Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit, journeys to the Lonely Mountain accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug.
The Why: Will it beat Avatar as the most expensive movie ever made? I'm happy Peter Jackson came back. The first half will be exciting seeing Gollum and Gandalf again. I expect most of the orginal cast at some point whether it matches the book or not.

Finale!

20. Prince of Persia

Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley
Synopsis: A young fugitive prince and princess must stop a villain who unknowingly threatens to destroy the world with a special dagger that enables time travel.
What I Liked: Twists and turns were perfect. Decent story, action.
What I Didn't Like: Not enough Prince of Persianess/video gameness. Kept reminding me of the Scorpion King... not a good thing.

19. Something Borrowed

Cast: Kate Hudson
Synopsis: Friendships are tested and secrets come to the surface when Rachel falls for Dex, her best friend's fiancé.
What I Liked: Engaging, entertaining. Leading actress is likable. Funny moments.
What I Didn't Like: Little too much back and forth between the love square.

18. Super 8

Cast: J.J. Abrams(D)
Synopsis: After witnessing a train crash, a group of friends begin noticing happenings going around in their small town, and begin to investigate into the phenomenon.
What I Liked: Kids steal the show. The side story. The ET Vibe.
What I Didn't Like: Loses it's way in the middle. Way too much hype for the alien we know is coming and is a let down.

17. Cowboys and Aliens

Cast: Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde
Synopsis: A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region.
What I Liked: Ford was his awesome self. Wilde was gorgeous. Craig was also great.
What I Didn't Like: Wilde's character just creates nonsense. Not as guilty as Super 8 in the alien suspense let down. But halfway through the movie half the crew just leaves.

16. Kick Ass

Cast: Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse
Synopsis: Dave is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers or training.
What I Liked: When hit girl enters scene the first time, it's an oh shit moment.
What I Didn't Like: Near the end a scene just doesn't fit and the rest of the movie goes south from there. The whole trying to set up another movie thing.

15. My Best Friends Girl

Cast: Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs
Synopsis: Tank faces the ultimate test of friendship when his best friend hires him to take his ex-girlfriend out on a terrible date in order to make her realize how great her former boyfriend is.
What I Liked: Very creative story with Cook likeable and of course funny.
What I Didn't Like: Biggs is awful, Hudson is always annoying.

14. Horrible Bosses

Cast: Kevin Spacey, Charlie Day, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston
Synopsis: Three friends conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness.
What I Liked: Every character had something hilarious about them.
What I Didn't Like: Characters a little too cartoonish and one dimensional. Sitcom like.

13. Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Cast: James Franco, Andy Serkis
Synopsis: During experiments to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease, a genetically-enhanced chimpanzee uses its improved intelligence to lead other apes to freedom.
What I Liked: Serkis stole the show as Caesar. You can feel for him and side with the apes. The father. Good story and characters.
What I Didn't Like: Ending doesn't go anywhere. And the whole trying to set up another movie.

12. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: 2

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman, Ralph Fiennes
Synopsis: Harry, Ron and Hermione search for Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes in their effort to destroy the Dark Lord.
What I Liked: Action was the best of any movie, biggest stakes, fit conclusion.
What I Didn't Like: Ending was silly. The blonde kid doesn't pay up.

11. The Departed

Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg
Synopsis: Two men from opposite sides of the law are undercover State Police and the mafia, but violence and bloodshed boil when discoveries are made.
What I Liked: Probably should be higher the more I think about it. A+ cast, story that goes anywhere.
What I Didn't Like: Story sometimes not completely straight what was going on. Not mission impossible bad but I could be due to watch it again.

10. There Will Be Blood

Cast: Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Dano
Synopsis: A turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the oil business.
What I Liked: Lewis just makes this whole movie work.
What I Didn't Like: Slow in parts, ending jump feels exactly like that.

9. Easy A

Cast: Emma Stone, Thomas Haden Church, Lisa Kudrow
Synopsis: A high school student relies on the school's rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.
What I Liked: Emma Stone brings it. Hilarious parts.
What I Didn't Like: Several can't standable characters.

8. Green Lantern

Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Tim Robbins
Synopsis: A test pilot is granted a ring that bestows him with powers, as well as membership into a squad tasked with keeping peace within the universe.
What I Liked: Special effects. Reynolds carrys most of it.
What I Didn't Like: Pretty long, but not enough middle movie. Every other actor was replaceable.

7. 50/50

Cast: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen
Synopsis: A comedy centered on a 27-year-old who learns of his cancer diagnosis, and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease.
What I Liked: Emotional and funny, you can just get into all of the characters.
What I Didn't Like: Might suffer due to the fact I just saw it, so maybe it wouldn't normally be this high. Some parts were nonsense. Comedy centered around a not fun concept.

6. Pirates Of The Carribean 4

Cast: Johnny Depp, Penélope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush
Synopsis: Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard is after it too.
What I Liked: Depp doing his captain sparrow.
What I Didn't Like: Kinda feels like Austin Powers did at the end. Fantastic, but should it stop now? Expected more from non Depp characters. Mermaid side story.

5. Thor

Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman
Synopsis: The powerful, arrogant Thor is cast out of the realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their defenders.
What I Liked: Some funny stuff. Hemsworth and Hopkins do great.
What I Didn't Like: Two magical power items in one movie? Wasted Hawkeye cameo. Love story was forced. Not enough of a character arc for Thor. Not enough action scenes.

4. Captain America

Cast: Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving
Synopsis: After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into a superhero dedicated to defending America.
What I Liked: The cgi in the beginning is awesome, Evans does a great job. TLJ is hilarious.
What I Didn't Like: Red skull didn't end up doing anything and never seemed very threatening. Bucky storyline was hastily done.

3. Bridesmaids

Cast: Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph
Synopsis: Picked as her best friend's maid of honor, lovelorn and broke Annie looks to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals with an odd group of bridesmaids.
What I Liked: Unexpected hilarious scenes.
What I Didn't Like: Some cringe moments for sure. Might be a postive that the movie could do those things though.

2. Transformers 3

Cast: Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro
Synopsis: The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it.
What I Liked: Action and special effects are great. Finally as much of a robot movie as it was a LaBeouf movie.
What I Didn't Like: The main bad guy just wasn't the bad ass robot he should have been.

1. X-Men First Class

Cast: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender
Synopsis: The United States government enlists the help of Mutants with superhuman abilities to stop a club who is determined to start world war III.
What I Liked: Fassbender and Bacon are fantastic in every scene. Training montages were cool. McAvoy is pretty great as well.
What I Didn't Like: Weak women characters. Too many forced moments.

40. Wanted

Cast: Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman
Synopsis: A frustrated office worker learns that he is the son of a professional assassin, and that he shares his father's superhuman killing abilities.
What I Liked: McAvoy was engaging. Action scenes were cool. Story unique.
What I Didn't Like: Ending was down and then up. Freeman was not a good choice.

39. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Gary Oldman
Synopsis: It's Harry's third year at Hogwarts. Convicted murderer Sirius Black has escaped Prison and is coming after Harry.
What I Liked: Time travel! I did kinda dig the ending. Twists about. Gary Oldman
What I Didn't Like: Werewolves and time travel? At this point it seemed like fantasy elements were just randomly added.

38. Predators

Cast: Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace
Synopsis: A group of different warriors are hunted by Predators on a different world.
What I Liked: The beginning when they try to discover everything. Predator vs Predator violence.
What I Didn't Like: Topher Grace was just out of place. Not enough of those Predator POVs.

37. Apocalypse Now

Cast: Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando
Synopsis: During the Vietnam War, Captain Willard is sent on a dangerous mission into Cambodia to assassinate a Green Beret who has set himself up as a God among a local tribe.
What I Liked: I was okay with longer scenes when Brando was on.
What I Didn't Like: Lots of parts dragged for me though. Being told it's one of the greatest movies, my expectations were unrealistic.

36. Stardust

Cast: Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ian McKellen, Robert De Niro
Synopsis: In a countryside bordering on a magical land, a young man makes a promise to his love that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the realm.
What I Liked: Unique storyline. I liked not having any idea where the movie was going or could go.
What I Didn't Like: Humorous parts. Characters make strange decisions. Too many fantasy elements perhaps?

35. Hurt Locker

Cast: Jeremy Renner, Guy Pearce
Synopsis: Forced to play a game of cat-and-mouse in a war, an Army bomb squad unit must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy.
What I Liked: Sniper shootout is awesome as well as the intense bomb diffusing scenes.
What I Didn't Like: Kind of a depressing maybe too realistic end. Not enough Guy Pearce. Too many chase scenes.

34. Hot Tub Time Machine

Cast: John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Chevy Chase
Synopsis: A malfunctioning time machine at a ski resort takes a man back to 1986 with his two friends and nephew, where they must relive a fateful night.
What I Liked: Goes relatively quick. Every subplot had something funny about it.
What I Didn't Like: Not enough 80's jokes. Too many blah jokes.

33. Good Luck Chuck

Cast: Dane Cook, Jessica Alba
Synopsis: In order to keep the woman of his dreams from falling for another guy, Charlie has to break the curse that has made him popular with women.
What I Liked: When Cook does his thing. The hook was entertaining. Alba of course.
What I Didn't Like: Alba's character was not based in any kind of reality that Cook's character is in.

32. American Gangster

Cast: Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe
Synopsis: In 1970s America, a detective works to bring down the drug empire of a heroin kingpin from Manhattan.
What I Liked: Great ending. Washington is his fantastic self. Nice seeing Crowe do something different.
What I Didn't Like: Just pales in comparison to the later matchups like Man on Fire or Deja-Vu.

31. Diehard 3

Cast: Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson
Synopsis: McClane and a store owner must play a bomber's game as they race around New York while trying to stop him.
What I Liked: Samuel is a great addition. The NY background is excellent.
What I Didn't Like: Ending fell flat after the beginning's promise.

30. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: 1

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman, Ralph Fiennes
Synopsis: As Harry races against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, he uncovers the existence of three most powerful objects in the world: the Deathly Hallows.
What I Liked: Builds up more tension. Ends on a good spot(of course).
What I Didn't Like: Slower than usual, they were talking in a tent for like 45 minutes. There is way too much to wrap up even after 7 movies.

29. The Fly

Cast: Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis
Synopsis: A scientist begins to transform into a giant man/fly hybrid after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong.
What I Liked: Goes quick and story flows very well. Goldblum does wonderful.
What I Didn't Like: The Geena Davis side ex boyfriend story was unnecessary.

28. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson
Synopsis: Harry ignores warnings not to return to Hogwarts, only to find the school plagued by a series of attacks and a voice haunting him.
What I Liked: Good pacing and story flow. Not the little kids as in the first one.
What I Didn't Like: Too many mysteries and several groan moments.

27. Diehard 1

Cast: Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman
Synopsis: McClane fights terrorists as they hold hostages in an office building.
What I Liked: Good villian, tension. Clear plot, action.
What I Didn't Like: Everyone besides the two main heroes just seem abnormally dumb.

26. The A Team

Cast: Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley
Synopsis: A group of war veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
What I Liked: Entertaining throughout, how they ended the movie where the show begins.
What I Didn't Like: Parts were too forced. Little plot, uninspired twist/plot.

25. Black Hawk Down

Cast: Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Eric Bana
Synopsis: 123 U.S. soldiers drop into Somalia to capture two lieutenants of warlord and find themselves in a battle with a large heavily-armed force.
What I Liked: Cast. Made me actually feel horrible when a pilot was killed.
What I Didn't Like: Wish it was longer, you don't really see how it ends. Not always clear what is happening, needed more birds eye views.

24. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Pattinson
Synopsis: Harry finds himself selected as a competitor in a dangerous multi-school competition.
What I Liked: General focus to the movie. Loved the plot arc, action, payoff, effects. Enjoyed the ending.
What I Didn't Like: Storyline wise this might have been weak.

23. Capitalism: a Love Story

Cast: Michael Moore
Synopsis: Documentary examines the impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans.
What I Liked: Moore at his best since Bowling for Columbine.
What I Didn't Like: Kind of dated even only 3 years removed.

22. No Country for Old Men

Cast: Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem
Synopsis: Violence and mayhem ensue after a hunter stumbles upon some dead bodies, heroin and more than $2 million in cash.
What I Liked: Bardem is just so creepy. Jones in engaging.
What I Didn't Like: I didn't like how it ended. I get that it was the whole point of the movie but still.

21. Bad Teacher

Cast: Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, Justin Timberlake
Synopsis: A junior high teacher who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague - a move that pits her against a fellow teacher.
What I Liked: Different story. Funny moments.
What I Didn't Like: Liked the actors though the characters all weren't relateable.

I am pretty picky with my sushi. It can be too much raw fish at times, store bought usually isn't good. But load me up with soy sauce and yum.

19. Baklava
Amazing pastry, gotta be the sweet kind though.

18. Benihana Fried Rice
Chicken Fried Rice is amazing, but at this place they do magical things to it.

17. Arby's
Ignoring all the side effects, their roast beef sandwiches are amazing, cheese sticks, curly fries and a shake are the way to go.

16. Carmel Apples
Always good, but by design always a mess.

15. Cornbread

French Silk is my favorite, Cherry and Apple are acceptable if made correctly. Don't understand Pumpkin!

So many sauces, most are excellent. My four favorite are Asian Zing, Parmesan Garlic, Mango Habanero and Medium.

Pizza subs are great, but the greatest sub ever is the Tubby's Pizza Steak Sub.

Coldstone has been amazing the last few years. Peanut Butter Cup, Cookies and Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip and Cookie Dough were each the bests thing to happen.

9. Generals Chicken
If there were more than one kind that I really enjoyed then we would be having a different conversation. Chinese food(rice, soup, egg rolls) goes together like "love and marriage" though. Can't have one without the other...

8. Cookies
Might be higher if they stood on their own without milk, but lets be honest sometimes milk makes cookies so much better.

7. Chipotle
Would be higher if I had known what Chipotle was 6 years ago. This list is cumulative, or at least now it is.

6. Taco Bell
My favorite fast food. Never feel right after eating it, but always seems like a good idea at the time.

5. Cake
Cupcakes, muffins, cheese cake, coffee cake, twinkies, zebra cakes, ho-ho-s, chocolate chip cake, oreo cake --- all fall under this category...

60. Water For Elephants

Cast: Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz
Synopsis: A vet student abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus.
What I Liked: The jew hunter return, Robert Pattinson until I realized it was Robert Pattinson
What I Didn't Like: The elephants! Ha, no kidding. But really, the circus elements.

59. Trading Places

Cast: Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd
Synopsis: An investor and a street con artist find their positions reversed as part of a bet by two millionaires.
What I Liked: Memorable cast, story, dialogue.
What I Didn't Like: Characters were all annoying. It was hard to back any of them.

58. Stripes

Cast: Bill Murray, John Candy, Harold Ramis
Synopsis: Two friends who are dissatisfied with their jobs decide to join the army for fun.
What I Liked: Old SNL Cast. John Candy mud wrestling strippers.
What I Didn't Like: Motivations are questionable. Ending is silly - predictable.

57. Toy Story

Cast: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen
Synopsis: A cowboy toy is threatened and jealous when a fancy spaceman toy supplants him as top toy in a boy's room.
What I Liked: The destructive neighbor kid as a villian.
What I Didn't Like: Jealousy storyline, slow to get going story.

56. Spy Game

Cast: Robert Redford, Brad Pitt
Synopsis: Retiring CIA agent recalls his training of a rookie while working against agency politics to free him from his foreign captors.
What I Liked: Redford by far steals the show.
What I Didn't Like: Took a long time to get in this movie. Doesn't seem to start correctly.

55. Role Models

Cast: Sean William Scott, Paul Rudd
Synopsis: Bad behavior forces a pair of energy drink reps to enroll in a Big Brother program.
What I Liked: A giant larp battle as the conclusion to a movie. Probation officer scenes.
What I Didn't Like: Lots of iffy, cheesy parts. Annoying kids.

54. Toy Story 2

Cast: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack
Synopsis: When Woody is stolen by a toy collector, Buzz and his friends vow to rescue him, Woody finds the idea of immortality in a museum tempting.

Cast: Billy Bob Thornton, Sean William Scott, Susan Sarandon
Synopsis: Taken aback by his mother's wedding announcement, a man returns home in an effort to stop her from marrying his old high school gym teacher, a man who made high school hell.
What I Liked: Thorton being a bully gym teacher - hilarious.
What I Didn't Like: Sarandon was wasted, Scott wasn't his typical self - maybe a good thing.

52. Employee of the Month

Cast: Jessica Simpson, Dane Cook
Synopsis: When he hears that the new female employee digs men who are the store employee of the month, a slacker gets his act together but finds himself in competition with his rival co-worker.
What I Liked: The thought of Dane Cook, Harland Williams and Andy Dick all working at Costco together.
What I Didn't Like: A scan off, what the hell. Simpson's acting and her character.

51. War

Cast: Jet Li, Jason Statham
Synopsis: An FBI Agent seeks vengeance on an assassin who murdered his partner.
What I Liked: Storyline was surprisingly good if not confusing.
What I Didn't Like: Characters kind of bland, not nearly enough war in a movie called War.

50. Diehard 4

Cast: Bruce Willis, Justin Long
Synopsis: McClane takes on a terrorist organization who is systematically shutting down the United States.
What I Liked: Action and Humor were decent mostly.
What I Didn't Like: Justin Long was annoying. The fact that they made it PG-13.

49. Black Swan

Cast: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis
Synopsis: A ballet dancer wins the lead in Swan Lake and is perfect for the role of the White Swan - but loses her mind as she becomes more and more like the Black Swan.
What I Liked: Natalie Portman acting for the first time. Trippy scenes reminded me of American Beauty.
What I Didn't Like: Anything ballet related just did not care about.

48. Oceans 12

Cast: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts
Synopsis: Ocean recruits one more team member so he can pull off three major European heists.
What I Liked: That the managed to get the entire cast back. The kinda twist ending again.
What I Didn't Like: Fails when compared to the first one. Julia Roberts nonsense.

47. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Ralph Fiennes
Synopsis: With their warning about Lord Voldemort's return laughed at, Harry and Dumbledore are targeted by the Wizard authorities as an authoritarian politician seizes power at Hogwarts.
What I Liked: Training scenes. The ending as usual was the best part.
What I Didn't Like: Feels like you could throw the whole movie away and not miss much.

46. Monsters Ball

Cast: Billy Bob Thornton, Halle Berry, Heath Ledger
Synopsis: After a family tragedy, a racist prison guard reexamines his attitudes while falling in love with the African American wife of the last prisoner he executed.
What I Liked: Actual character development.
What I Didn't Like: Pretty depressing movie. Movie ended in a strange spot for me. Every character somehow dis-likable.

45. Seven Pounds

Cast: Will Smith, Rosario Dawson
Synopsis: An engineer with a secret embarks on an journey of redemption by changing the lives of seven strangers.
What I Liked: The mystery/suspense builds up the whole time. Soundtrack.
What I Didn't Like: Sorrow movie that you also have to be in a mood to watch.

44. Shoot Em Up

Cast: Clive Owen, Monica Bellucci, Paul Giamatti
Synopsis: A man delivers a woman's baby during a shootout, and is then called upon to protect the newborn from the army of gunmen.
What I Liked: Using a carrot to shoot someone. Entertaining action scenes.
What I Didn't Like: Characters very one dimensional. Or maybe it was the cast. Pacing was not good.

43. How To Lose Friends And Alienate People

Cast: Simon Pegg, Kirsten Dunst, Megan Fox
Synopsis: A writer struggles to fit in at a high-profile magazine company.
What I Liked: Simon Pegg was entertaining on screen even without Nick Frost. Jeff Bridges.
What I Didn't Like: Most of the movie felt very original but then became generic again. Felt long.

42. Diehard 2

Cast: Bruce Willis, William Sadler
Synopsis: McClane is forced to battle mercenaries who seize control of an airport's communications and threaten to cause plane crashes if their demands are not met.
What I Liked: Twist I didn't see coming. Fighting on top of a plane.
What I Didn't Like: Tries to re-hash the original, just badly. Silly situation for Mr. McClane.

41. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter
Synopsis: As Harry Potter begins his 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he discovers an old book marked mysteriously - property of the Half-Blood Prince and learns more about Lord Voldemort's past.
What I Liked: Ending (again). Twist? Voldemort's past. Helena Bonham Carter.
What I Didn't Like: Action kinda lacking.

What I Liked: Liked seeing the main characters scenes with the old gang.
What I Didn't Like: Mindless plot, boring action.

79. Laura Croft Tomb Raider

Cast: Angelina Jolie, Daniel Craig
Synopsis: Adventurer races against time and villains to recover ancient artifacts.
What I Liked: The beginning and end tie the movie together.
What I Didn't Like: Acting and story sub par. Though action was passing.

Cast: Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Alfred Molina
Synopsis: Needing money for a poker tournament, Maverick faces challenges and mishaps, including a woman thief.
What I Liked: Big cast.
What I Didn't Like: Bad narration. Something was just out of place here.

77. Hercules and the Amazon Women

Cast: Kevin Sorbo, Anthony Quinn, Micheal Hurst
Synopsis: Hercules and Iolaus take time out from Iolaus' wedding preparations, to help a distant village under attack from womens.
What I Liked: The very first one they did, so fun to see how it progressed from here.
What I Didn't Like: Poor style. Typical TV acting. Time travel part was unneeded.

76. John Tucker Must Die

Cast: Ashanti, Jenny McCarthy
Synopsis: Three ex-girlfriends of a serial cheater set up the former to fall for the new girl in town so they can watch him get his heart broken.
What I Liked: McCarthy was hot. Story went fast.
What I Didn't Like: The protagonist was awfully cast. There are better aholes everywhere.

75. Journey to the Center of the Earth

Cast: Brendan Fraser
Synopsis: On a quest to find out what happened to his missing brother, a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide discover a lost world in the center of the earth.
What I Liked: Seeing how they get in and out.
What I Didn't Like: TV movie without some of the effects

74. The Corruptor

Cast: Yun-Fat Chow, Mark Wahlberg
Synopsis: With the aid from a NYC policeman, an immigrant cop tries to stop drug-trafficking and corruption, but things complicate when policemen are bribed.
What I Liked: Marky Mark is engaging when on screen. Intense story.
What I Didn't Like: Depressing ending.

73. Burn After Reading

Cast: George Clooney, Brad Pitt
Synopsis: A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two gym employees who attempt to sell it.
What I Liked: Awesome cast. Unique.
What I Didn't Like: Ending, some character/story elements just didn't seem to belong.

72. Two Days in April

Cast: Jon Gruden, Derek Hagan, Clint Ingram, Mel Kiper
Synopsis: Four pro-bound college football players go for the NFL draft. Follow the training and all the emotions that accompany the four men on their journey to draft day, when their million-dollar dreams are intercepted by reality.
What I Liked: Insight to the combine, interview and draft. Different perspective from players.
What I Didn't Like: No need for the interaction between the group.

71. Obsessed

Cast: Beyoncé Knowles, Ali Larter
Synopsis: A successful manager, who has just received a huge promotion, is happy in his career and in his marriage. But a temp worker starts stalking him.
What I Liked: The scenes with Larter taunting(disrobing in front of!) the husband.
What I Didn't Like: Larter goes off the deepend too quick. Needed more build up.

70. Planet of the Apes

Cast: Charlton Heston
Synopsis: An astronaut crew crash lands on a planet in the future where intelligent talking apes are the dominant species, and humans are the oppressed and enslaved.
What I Liked: Heston is believable. You can feel for him given all the subtlies.
What I Didn't Like: Slow in many parts. That 60's movie.

69. Vantage Point

Cast: Dennis Quaid, William Hurt
Synopsis: The attempted assassination of the President is told and re-told from several different perspectives.
What I Liked: Very cool and unique way of shooting the movie. Takes a simple premise and flips it.
What I Didn't Like: Payoff was only so so. Story and characters ultimately bland.

68. Bad Boys

Cast: Will Smith, Martin Lawrence
Synopsis: Two detectives protect a murder witness while investigating a case of heroin.
What I Liked: Two of my favorite actors.
What I Didn't Like: Bad dialogue, boring Michael Bay action.

67. Hellboy

Cast: Ron Perlman, Selma Blair
Synopsis: A demon, raised from infancy after being conjured by and rescued from the Nazis, grows up to become a defender against evil.
What I Liked: Fighting with the government and for Selma Blair.
What I Didn't Like: Enemy was pretty boring, action less entertaining than the other elements.

66. Jumper

Cast: Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson
Synopsis: A genetic anomaly allows a man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years.
What I Liked: Special effects and backgrounds were very cool/fun.
What I Didn't Like: Sammie seemed to mail it in. The "war" was inexplicable.

65. Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup

Cast: George W. Bush, Dick Cheney
Synopsis: Was 9/11 a conspiracy?
What I Liked: Interesting history of America, you hear facts not brought up in the news.
What I Didn't Like: Hates America, it blames the government for more than 911.

64. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Richard Harris
Synopsis: Rescued from the neglect of his aunt and uncle, a boy with a destiny proves his worth while attending a School of Wizardry.
What I Liked: Decent ending, loved the strange hat.
What I Didn't Like: Kids were too young. Richard Harris seemed to drag.

63. Toy Story 3

Cast: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Ned Beatty
Synopsis: The toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren't abandoned and to return home.
What I Liked: Had more of a story arc and had more at stake than the first two.
What I Didn't Like: Middle part was forgetful and passable. (I think, I fell asleep and didn't seem to miss anything)

62. Jonah Hex

Cast: Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich
Synopsis: The military makes a scarred bounty hunter with warrants on his own head an offer in exchange for his freedom, he must stop a terrorist who is ready to blow up everyone.
What I Liked: Entertaining, Brolin was engaging. Fox was hot.
What I Didn't Like: Reminded me of Wild Wild West, which no movie should do.

61. Imaginary Witness: Hollywood and the Holocaust

Cast: Gene Hackman, Steven Spielberg
Synopsis: Anker examines Hollywood's depiction of the Holocaust and its atrocities in this documentary. It also questions the responsibility of filmmakers in retelling history and the effects of film portrayals on the social psyche.
What I Liked: Perspective on both hollywood and the world's in general view at the time.
What I Didn't Like: Didn't follow up the Anti-Semitism enough.

6 Months, 100 Movies! 1/5

It started off as watching all 4 Die Hard movies in like a week. I had a fantastic notion to get to 100(all brand new movies to me) and see how long it would take, and then finally rank them afterwards.

It ended up taking 6 months. It started in April and ended well, but the Summer started becoming a problem. But finished it just as September came to a close.

I have this habit to say the last movie that I saw was the greatest one I've ever watched. Well to get to 100 there were some duds along the way(my personal choices of course). If you need a summary: I like to be entertained from a movie. That's it. I like superhero and fantasy movies so naturally those entertain me more than any drama could. I try to provide the good and the bad and what it was about if you don't feel like going to IMDB.

Honorable Mention: Because I like doing honorable mentions and because I somehow forgot this movie until I started putting this together. Not a terrible movie but not good enough to remember it either:

Beneath the Planet of the Apes

Cast: Charlton Heston
Synopsis: The sole survivor of an interplanetary rescue mission searches for the only survivor of the previous expedition. He discovers a planet ruled by apes and an underground city run by telekinetic humans.
What I Liked: Heston returns, 2000 years in the future and they worship an atom bomb.
What I Didn't Like: Started promising then story went nuts and didn't leave.

100. Disaster Movie

Cast: Carmen Electra, Kim Kardashian
Synopsis: Over the course of one evening, an group of young people find themselves upon by a series of natural disasters and catastrophic events.
What I Liked: Nothing. Kardashian is hot I suppose.
What I Didn't Like: It tries so very hard, and fails at everything pop culture.

99. College

Cast: No one I've ever heard of
Synopsis: A wild weekend is in store for three high school seniors who visit a local college campus.
What I Liked: Story should have been a slam dunk. Many movies have done it.
What I Didn't Like: Characters mind numbing. Acting and directing not good either.

98. Sahara

Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Penélope Cruz, Steve Zahn
Synopsis: A master explorer goes on the adventure of seeking out a lost Civil War battleship in the deserts of West Africa while helping a doctor being chased by a dictator.
What I Liked: The cast in theory. That the movie ends at some point.
What I Didn't Like: Everything was pretty boring. I felt no stakes.

97. Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia

Cast: Donald Sutherland(narr)
Synopsis: Donald Sutherland narrates this documentary that explores the history, evolution and extinction of the dinosaurs. We look at the Patagonia region of South America to witness paleontology's newer discoveries.
What I Liked: Hear about a new discovery, actually see a dinosaur footprint.
What I Didn't Like: Less of a documentary, more like a tv show. Probably shouldn't count towards this list. Terrible CGI which leads no where.

96. Life or Something Like It

Cast: Angelina Jolie, Edward Burns
Synopsis: A reporter interviews a homeless man, who tells her when she's going to die.
What I Liked: The story. (The impending feeling you know your life is going to end.)
What I Didn't Like: Nothing happened or came of it.

95. A Home Of Our Own

Cast: Kathy Bates, Edward Furlong
Synopsis: The story is located in Los Angeles in the sixties. An energetic widow, Frances Lacey, with her six children try to make a dream of theirs come true.
What I Liked: Seeing Edward Furlong berated at school.
What I Didn't Like: Kathy Bates was annoying and just made no sense.

94. Dance Flick

Cast: Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans
Synopsis: Dancers enter in the mother of all dance battles.
What I Liked: Wayans brothers bring it when on screen.
What I Didn't Like: Everything else.

93. Conan the Barbarian

Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Earl Jones
Synopsis: Tale of child sold into slavery who grows into a man who seeks revenge against the warlord who massacred his parents.
What I Liked: James Earl Jones was a sweet bad guy. Those eyes! Narration was aight.
What I Didn't Like: Just about everything was a problem except the directing which had some good moments.

92. Ceremony

Cast: Uma Thurman
Synopsis: Two friends are off on a weekend outing. Marshall thinks the trip is to re-establish their friendship, but Sam has ulterior motives in mind as he crashes the wedding of a woman he loves.
What I Liked: Wedding crashers intent, Uma Thurman's performance.
What I Didn't Like: The short ass main character. The ending.

91. Skin

Cast: Sophie Okonedo, Sam Neill
Synopsis: Both her racist father and mother are white, but Sandra is born with dark skin - in South Africa that drives a wedge into the family. Sandra has experiences her parents can't understand and marries an abusive African.
What I Liked: Sam Neil the father. Lots of wrenching moments.
What I Didn't Like: Main character was bland. Every other character was dislikeable.

90. Ghost World

Cast: Steve Buscemi, Scarlett Johansson
Synopsis: Two female social outsiders who, after graduating from high school, play a prank on a middle-aged man.
What I Liked: It was a comic book?
What I Didn't Like: Main girl was uber annoying. Story was boring.

89. Skyline

Cast: Donald Faison, Brittany Daniel
Synopsis: An artist, and his girlfriend have flown to Los Angeles for his best friend's birthday party. Aliens show up or something.
What I Liked: Story was hard to screw up. Aliens attack. Done. Special effects did look great.
What I Didn't Like: The whole movie takes place in an apartment. Get by that and you might like this.

88. Dead Silence

Cast: Donnie Wahlberg
Synopsis: A widower returns to his hometown to search for answers to his wife's murder, which may be linked to the ghost of a murdered ventriloquist.
What I Liked: Creepy old woman. Those freaky puppets!
What I Didn't Like: Very boring in the beginning.

87. Parent Trap

Cast: Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid
Synopsis: Identical twins were separated at birth when their parents divorced. After the two meet at summer camp, they begin plotting to reunite their parents.
What I Liked: How Lohan managed to play two characters.
What I Didn't Like: Parents were terrible and not smart. Characters were one dimensional. Shallow plot.

86. Conan the Destroyer

Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger
Synopsis: Conan leads a group on a quest for a princess.
What I Liked: Didn't have to deal with the revenge storyline. Enjoyed the ending.
What I Didn't Like: Had to put up with the my wife is dead storyline. Predictable.

85. Max Payne

Cast: Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis
Synopsis: Coming together to solve a series of murders are a police detective whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin out to avenge her sister's death.
What I Liked: Lots of bullets, revenge.
What I Didn't Like: The supernatural elements were complete nonsense. Everyone was forgettable.

84. The Dark Ages

Cast: None
Synopsis: Beginning with Rome's fall in the fifth century, this sheds light on the Dark Ages, covering the chaos, raids, plague, famine, civil unrest, the Crusades, the Enlightenment and the Renaissance.
What I Liked: Plague and viking talk. Good style, you learn things.
What I Didn't Like: Made it seem like the times were void of art and creativity.

83. Grudge 3

Cast: Shawnee Smith
Synopsis: A young woman who holds the key to stopping the spirit of Kayako, travels to a haunted apartment.
What I Liked: Lots of jumps. Get what you did-ish with the first two.
What I Didn't Like: Forgettable characters/acting. Nothing new.

82. Hitman

Cast: Timothy Olyphant
Synopsis: A gun-for-hire hired by a group ensnared in a conspiracy, finds him pursued by both police and the military as he treks across Russia and Europe.
What I Liked: A few of the action scenes were wow like. Even above like a James Bond movie.
What I Didn't Like: Pacing. Parts just boring. Ridiculous plot. Needed more background on the main character.

81. Punisher War Zone

Cast: Ray Stevenson, Wayne Knight
Synopsis: After hunting down and killing hundreds of criminals, The Punisher, faces Jigsaw.
What I Liked: You get to see Jigsaw, Punisher has a baddie to focus on.
What I Didn't Like: Basically a TV movie. Characters were all dreadful. Some cheesiness.

They never show the enemy that Iceman can't lock on to. Jester should have been that pilot because then Jester wouldn't be in that predicament.

In honor of batman coming out on video, I felt it would be nice to pay a tribute to all my favorite animated villians.

I don't actually read comics. All of my information comes from cartoons, movies and the web. I've included who or what they are, why they are on the list and who the main protaginst is.

The two movie incarnations of the joker. Both are obviously gold.

Honorable mention. General Zod

Who: Leader of Krypton's military. Chooses to enslave the earth opposed to saving it. Imprisoned into the phantom zone mirror by superman's father. Vowed to get Superman afterwards.
Why: Similiar powers to superman, the eye lasers, the flying, the strength.
Foes: Superman

10. Venom

Who: Insane, gooey alien which needs a human host to survive. Picked Eddie Brock, a disgraced reporter who loathes his life and hates Spiderman.
Why: Shape shifter, can influence the mind of others. Extrasensory ability similar to the spider sense.
Foes: Spiderman

9. Thanos

Who: Both a personification of death as well as the god of death from Greek Mythology.
Why: Can manipulate matter, resistant to injury, shoots beams out of his eyes, doesn't need food or air and he's very intelligent.
Foes: Silver Surfer, Odin

8. Dr. Doom

Who: Sorcerer with superior intellect. Burned his face trying to raise his mother from the dead. Took control of a monastary and made the monks forge him
a suit of armor.
Why: Decided against killing Hitler and to conquer the world. Titanium battlesuit. Force field, molecule expander. Power over electricity.
Foes: Fantastic 4

7. Green Goblin

Who: Harry Osborn, CEO of his own robotics/chemical firm. Used himself as a test subject for a strength enhancing serum which exploded leaving him stronger and smarter but lost his sanity.
Why: Superhuman strength, speed, reflexes and healing rate. Has his own Glider and pumpkin bombs.
Foes: Spiderman

6. Lex Luthor

Who: Successful and corrupt businessman who owned Metropolis until Superman arrived. Eventually became the president.
Why: Mad scientist, power hungry who wants world domination. Can't seem to get arrested.
Foes: Superman

5. Sentinels

Who: Flying robots intended to save humanity from mutants. Created from a giant master Sentinel.
Why: Sheer size. Numbers. Arm laser cannon. Electrical arm whip. They also grow smarter. In an alternate future they rule the world.

4. Magneto

Who: Tortured soul. Parents killed by the Nazi's, daughter killed by an angry mob. Wants for mutants to work together to destroy all humans.
Why: Has the power to control any metal. Can also create magnetic force fields and project enegy beams.

Who: Cosmic entity who was created during the big bang. Has a never ending hunger search to destroy planets.
Why: Destroys worlds, can enslave others.
Foes: Fantastic 4, Silver Surfer

2. Mr. Sinister

Who: Scientist eager to create mutants was transformed by Apocalypse. Wants to breed and clone stronger mutants to create a super race.
Why: Indestructible and a rapid healer. Extended life span. Telepathy. Ability to project concussive energy from his hands.

Who: Wants to enslave strong mutants and weed out the weaker ones in-order to battle humans. Thousands of years old.

My 10 Favorite Comedians

These are my favorite stand up commedians. I am judging them solely based on their stand up, not their movies, not their TV shows.

I have included 3 of my favorite quotes for each.

10. Bill Maher
Really only half a comedian. The other half is political activist. He's really funny when he isn't completely slandering religion or republicans. His TV show has the benefit of writers, but he has other stand up which is great.

1. Fame has sent a number of celebrities off the deep end, and in the case of Michael Jackson, to the kiddy pool.

2. Kids. They're not easy. But there has to be some penalty for sex.

3. Let's make a law that gay people can have birthdays, but straight people get more cake - you know, to send the right message to kids.

9. Daniel Tosh
Probably unheard of by most people, this guy is hilarious. His jokes are quick, witty and sarcastic. I love pretty much everything I've heard from him.

1. If you are a Vin Dissel fan, in all fairness you shouldn't be here watching me. You should be at home coloring.

2. I don't think I could ever stab somebody. I'm really bad with a capri sun.

3. Sometimes, when I'm feeling down because nothing seems to be going right, I like to take a home pregnancy test. Then I can say, 'Hey, at least I'm not pregnant.'

8. Dave Chappelle
He probably had one of the funniest shows of all time. He inexplicably ran away to Africa, came back and did some stand up...which was also great.

1. Somebody broke into my house once, this is a good time to call the police, but mm mm, nope. The house was too nice. It was a real nice house, but they'd never believe I lived in it. They'd be like 'He's still here! [whacks the microphone on the stand] Oh my god. Open and shut case, Johnson. I saw this once when I was a rookie. Apparently this black guy broke in and put up pictures of his family everywhere.

2. Every group of brothers should have at least one white guy in it. Im serious for safety, cuz when the shit goes down someone is gonna need to talk to the police.

3. There's times to be real, and there's times to be phony. That's right, I said it, phony! You think I'm this nice in real life? Fuck that, son! That's just cause I'm on TV. I'd pull my balls out right now... skeet skeet skeet skeet!

7. Jim Gaffigan
Half of his jokes are about hot pockets, which must have scarred him as a child. He has an alternate voice in which he pretends to be an audience member thinking out loud.

1. We're all a little weird, we like to think theres someone weirder. I'm sure some of you are looking at me going 'At least I'm not as weird as Gaffigan.' And then I'm thinking 'At least I'm not as weird as those people in the looney bin.' And the people in the looney bin are going 'Well, at least I'm an orange.'

2. Ever go to IHOP? I don't know why they call it IHOP. When I leave there I don't ever feel like hopping. They should call it, I barely move.

3. My wife's gotten really lazy, or as she calls it, 'pregnant'.

6. Ron White
My favorite of the 'Blue Collar' comedians. Lots of jokes about drinking. My biggest complaint is that he doesn't seem to have too much material. He has his own book/tv show, 5 stand up specials and 3 tv shows and between all of that every joke is probably repeated 3 times. Though when I did go to see him live it was all new.

1. I had the right to remain silent... but I didn't have the ability.

2. Hey Man, if the plane runs out of fuel, how far will we make it? "All the way to the scene of the crash."

3. And as the night went on, these women laughed harder and harder, not at me, but at themselves, because apparently, the drunker a woman gets, the funnier

5. Steven Lynch
Greatest singing commedian on the planet. Has 3 albums which are all gold. He really has no boundaries to what he sings about. Every song starts off normal and sweet and then just throws something redonkoulous out of nowhere.

One of the angriest people. Everything that comes out of his mouth is just a shot at something. Mainly rants at politics but will attack anything. Has his own show now as well which isn't too bad. Very funny live.

1. There is a starbucks sitting directly across the street from another starbucks, and ladies and gentlemen, that is the end of the universe. Go there, stand between those two starbucks, look at your watch, time stands still. And what's truly amazing, if you turn and just look just at one starbucks, immediately you think you know what, when I turn around, there can't possibly be another starbucks behind me. So you turn around slowly thinking maybe theres a mcdonalds there, or possibly exon station, or even a gap but theres ANOTHER STARBUCKS!

2. Behind me, I heard a young woman of 25 say, "If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college." Now, I'm gonna repeat that, because it bears repeating. "If it weren't for my horse..." as in, giddyup, giddyup, let's go — "I wouldn't have spent that year in college," which is a degree-granting institution. Don't think about that too long, or BLOOD will shoot out your NOSE!

3. I knew it was way too cold this winter because I have not had one thought. I have NOT been able to complete a sentence in my own head. I find myself wondering, going; You know, I should really - FUCK IT'S COLD!

2. Rodney Dangerfield
A man full of one liners. He has more jokes than you can imagine, and they all work. His funniest stuff is the 'I get no respect' material. The movies he were in were all pretty great.

He does everything, act, sing, produce, write, direct but what he is best at is stand up. I'm pretty sure he re-invented the genre. You hear his material all the time as it's all so true.

Guys actually think that there are other fish in the sea, and if a guy introduces his boy to his new girlfriend, and when they walk away, his boy goes, "Aww man, shes nice, I gotta get me a girl LIKE that." 10 Most anticipated movies of 2009 and beyond

There are a ton of movies coming out in 2009 and beyond which I'm sure many people other than myself will be looking forward to. Many of them are already over hyped (Avatar, Inglorious Bastards) many of them will make money regardless (Harry Potter, Spiderman) and many of them will suck (Pink Panther 2, Ace Ventura Jr?).

What is my top 10 for 2009?

Well first I want to mention 3 of them, which could go either way.

Friday the 13^th – Horror remakes are usually a bad thing. (Amityville Horror, Texas Chainsaw) But when they are done right, they are amazing. (The Haunting, Halloween)

Street Fighter: The legend of Chun Lee – I'm probably the only person on the planet who thought the first Street Fighter movie was watchable. It had many problems but I personally liked JC Van Dam and Raul Julia. One of the things they are going to correct this time is the number of characters. However, hasn't Michael Clark Duncan has ruined enough movies? (Daredevil, Whole Nine Yards, Scorpion King)

Fast and the Furious 4 – I actually had no idea there was a 3. I ignored 2 for the most part because of no Vin Diesel. I'm not much of a car fan, so there needs to be more than Paul Walker to get me interested. Well since Vin Diesel is in this one again, it may be worth watching. At least whenever it comes to TV.

Night at the Museum 2

Why I want to see it: First one was good, Ben Stiller and hopefully Owen Wilson are great together. I'd love to see what they come up with this time.

Why you should avoid it: If you like a plot, I suppose you won't get one.

9. Saw 6

Why I want to see it: I've seen all 5 of them and they still entertain me. Great Halloween movies.

Why you should avoid it: Jigsaw has been dead for 3 movies now. Replacement Killer has ZERO charisma or reason to give a crap about him.

8. Land of the Lost

Why I want to see it: Will Ferrell is hilarious, we can see how far dinosaurs have came since Jurassic Park 3.

Why you should avoid it: I don't know if this is a funny movie. Maybe it's not supposed to be serious because if it is, the dream is dead.

7. Push

Why I want to see it: Looks very similar to Heroes, X-Men which I love.

Why you should avoid it: Dakota Fanning has a way of focusing a movie on her when it shouldn't be

6. 2012

Why I want to see it: Director from end of the world movies Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow is still 50/50. Should be an interesting take.

Why you should avoid it: If you saw the Day After Tomorrow you know that wolves can come on a boat in the middle of New York and ruin your movie.

5. Watchmen

Why I want to see it: I know very little about this, but I want to see what all the hoopla is all about. I'm still hip, I'm still with it….ducka ducka ducka ducka….

Why you should avoid it: There's absolutely no reason pay money based on hype before a movie comes out. Wait till both fans and critics say it's worth seeing.

4. GI-Joe

Why I want to see it: The director of the first two mummy movies is doing this one, both of which are awesome. Dennis Quaid and Ray Park add something unique. The cast in general sounds pretty sweet.

Why you should avoid it: Brendan Fraser though has me worried. Joseph Gordon-Levitt(3^rd Rock from the Sun) may not be your Cobra Commander. Although that's what people said about Heath Ledger.

3. Terminator Salvation

Why I want to see it: The movies have been all decent. Christian Bale will make a good John Connor.

Why you should avoid it: The TV show pretty much ruined any uniqueness the franchise may have had left. It showed how boring killer robots could be.

2. Transformers 2

Why I want to see it: Giant robots, hopefully Devistator(please pretty please!). Megan Fox.

Why you should avoid it: Corny lines galore, lots of stupid filler.

1. Origins of Wolverine

Why you should see it: Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Sabertooth, and Gambit!

Why you should avoid it: It can be bad…(See X-Men 3)

And here are 10 past 2009 which will be awesome when they come out. Surprise, surprise most of these are superhero/nerd movies.

Didn't quite make the list:

Jurassic Park 4: I've liked all 3 so far so has a good chance.

A-Team: Great with the right cast.

Silver Surfer: Only if Galactus(See top ten villains, isn't a cloud this time).

Captain America: Part of the Avengers Trip, should be interesting.

Thor: Also part of the Avengers Trip, must be cast right.

Sin City 2: Really depends on where the story goes.

The Brazilian Job: I loved the Italian Job, so has a chance.

Little Fockers: I liked Meet the Parents/Fockers, so will probably see at some point.

Tekken: Great video game doesn't usually mean great movie.

Halo: Ditto I suppose, but has more of a fight in it.

Mortal Kombat 3: Well since 2 could have been a silent movie without screwing up the plot, it just has to be better.

Prince of Persia: I haven't liked what I've heard so far.

Masters of the Universe: Matrix meets Dolph Lundren?

Justice League: Also really depends on who plays Superman, Batman. If it's Bale/Routh, I'm in.

10. Castlevania

Why it will rock: The director of Event Horizon is doing this movie, which means it could be nice and scary. The majority is supposed to be in a castle, and lots of whipping.

Why it will suck: Video game movies are usually crap, even with a story already written they somehow go against all logic and common sense. (Mario Brothers, Doom)

9. Old School 2

Why it will rock: Same cast, if they bring the same chemistry it will be just as funny as the first.

Why it will suck: They are probably just trying to cash in on this and don't have a plot, wait the first one didn't have a plot…never mind.

8. 1776

Why it will rock: Everyone could use a refresher on this and if it's anything like the picture, George Washington fighting King Louie on the Death Star would be the greatest.

Why it will suck: May be like the Patriot and run 3 hours long. May try to teach me something like in History class..yuck.

7. Warcraft/WOW

Why it will rock: Anything with live action orcs is sure to be entertaining.

Why it will suck: Won't necessarily follow any event in the game. Video game movie.

6. Avengers

Why it will rock: Having a movie come out for each character before a giant collaboration is an incredibly risky thing, but one which could be huge.

Why it will suck: Already probably sans Edward Norton, it's really going to be hard to have a good story with so many characters (see X:Men 3)

5. Iron Man 2

Why it will rock: Robert Downey did a great job with the first. Lots of story line to proceed with.

Why it will suck: Too much hype. I think it really is going to have to take a step up from the first to not be a disappointment.

4. Superman 2

Why it will rock: Kevin Spacey is fantastic as Lex Luthor.

Why it will suck: No more Bryan Singer who I loved, but since the first did so badly there's a chance Brandon Routh might not make it back as Superman either.

3. Spiderman 4

Why it will rock: Same cast, Sam Rami basically can't fail with that formula.

Why it will suck: No longer character driven, last movie seemed to be too George Lucas. All the great villains are used up. Will probably have to battle Lizard.

2. Magneto Origin

Why it will rock: If Ian Mckellen plays the older version, it will be a nice continuation. One of the coolest villains(See Villians) and powers of all time.

Why it will suck: If it doesn't get made for whatever reason. If the actor chosen is a pile of garbage.

1. The Hobbit

Why it will rock: Again, Ian Mckellen will add something to the continuation. Peter Jackson knows his stuff.

Why it will suck: Story just isn't as good as the main trilogy. It will be good, it will just make me miss the others too much.

Super Mario Mock Elections

What if the characters from the Mushroom Kingdom were just a bit younger? Lets say high school and were graduating.

What if they had to do mock elections? Who would I vote for?

Some took thinking but for the most part I believe I voted for the right candidate.

Friendliest: Goomba

Goomba is clearly the easiest being in the universe, with maybe the exception of Toad. Toad can have a temper though; the goomba just walks in one direction, waiting to be pounced on.

Nicest Smile: Wart

Maybe that’s not a smile. Maybe he’s just yelling at the teenagers invading his home. Whatever the case, that tongue adds character.

Nicest Eyes: Thwomp

Thwomp has those shifty ninja eyes, which are pretty sweet, especially since he’s basically a rock with a face.

Best Hair: Princess Peach

How long does princess toadstool spend every morning on that hair? Curly, layered hair, with no split ends. Please.

Cutest Laugh: Toad

May have the greatest voice since he sounds like a decapitated mouse. If you don’t believe me, watch the cartoon.

Teachers Pet: Donkey Kong Jr.

Kind of obvious since he actually is a pet to Mario in that cage. It wasn’t his choice, Mario was the villain in that particular game. Basically Diddy Kong without the cap.

Best Dressed: Shy Guy

A monk with a gasmask, how could this “guy” not be the best dressed?

Most likely to become Famous: Wario

Wario has a lot going for him: his own castle, the whole celebrity look alike thing, wario-ware. He’s got that catch phrase(Mario Kart): “I’m a Wario, I’m a gonna win” He just needs more opportunities to kill Mario.

Most likely to go to Harvard: Koopa Troopa

Lets face it, none of these….uhh…things in the kingdom are going to Harvard. Koopas basically have a good chance since there are so many of them and some can fly and get up after getting stomped on. Which I imagine is a lot like Harvard.

Most likely to go to the Army: Bob-omb

He would be recruited in a snap and on the front lines even quicker. Don’t think he’s going to come home though.

Most likely to do Jailtime: Bullet Bill

It’s not his fault, it’s just how he was raised. Ready to explode at any minute. Strangely enough, he doesn’t hurt any bad guys.

Best Leader: Mario

Defeated Koopa, all his kids, Wario, Waluigi, Wart and all the hench men on numerous occasions with only his brother, Toad, and the princess in another castle. That takes real gahonies.

Most Trustworthy: Yoshi

Is he any more useful that a living koopa troopa…? No, he’s just as worthless. However if you were to lock him with Mario in a steel cage for 2 weeks, Dry Bones would come out the winner hands down. He just keeps getting up.

He hasn’t done one useful thing to my knowledge with the exception of mocking people with that crazy laugh he has. He does have an island(Mario Party 3) which tends to take out people on the circle of death.

Might be much more effective if he wasn’t constantly napping inside that pipe of his. What else could he be doing down there. He only comes out when someone stomps on his pipe. Occasionally comes out to shoot fire. But basically the worst guard ever.

He starts out so happy and nice, like an angel. Then you do one thing bad to him like stomp on him and he goes bonkers, starts charging and causing a ruckus.

A woman who thinks she’s a man. That’s straight out of the Mario 2 handbook. I don’t know how much liquor it takes to think like that, but I’m sure its more than 15 a day.

James Earl Jones is amazing in this baseball movie which at the heart is a father-son story. It's got lots of fantasy, faith and a fantastic ending. Good score.

Amazing effects which still look good to this day. Dinosaur disaster movie. Score is amazing. The kids are annoying in this but every other character adds something.

Thee Baseball movie. It's got Charlie Sheen and Wesley Snipes. It's all about the characters who are entertaining. Two falls off a bit(no Snipes), but the third is abysmal.

This movie scared me, from the crawling girl to dead faces. It had mystery elements and even Brian Cox. Don't think I liked the kid.

Cheaply made, doesn't make sense in a lot of places, but I loved the whole thing. The twist endings at the end add new layers to the movies.

Based off of Police Squad series is a trilogy of detective spoofs. Leslie Nielsen is Lt. Frank Drebin, and Priscilla Presley plays his love interest. Oh and OJ Simpson.

RE-drafting the Lions - 2010

Best for last-har. 2nd pick overall even though we lost to the Rams who wound up picking first. Didn't matter much as we drafted the so called greatest talent in years.

First round
Lions Pick:
2: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska

Boy did he make an impact. Pro-Bowl. Ndamukong Suh, 10 sacks, an interception, a touchdown. Completely revamped the Lions D-Line and improved the defense. Can't argue at the moment that the Lions hit.

Lions Pick:
31: Javhid Best, RB, Cal
The Lions traded up four picks to grab someone Schwartz was in love with.
Scored 5 of his 6 touchdowns in the first 2 games. Kept hearing turf toe and never looked right all year. Over a thousand total yards though. No concussion, and did look real quick in spots.

Why it is where it is: Lots of good voice actors, Pee Wee Herman, NPH. The Smurfs weren't a bad cartoon, I'm way more interested in this than any Chipmunks movie, plus Gargamel is the Simpsons Hank Azaria who might be worth seeing.

29. Warrior

Stars: Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy

Plot: The youngest son (Hardy) of an alcoholic former boxer (Nolte) returns home, where he's trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament against his brother.

Why it is where it is: I like fighting movies like this with a good story premise(Price of Glory for example). Tom Hardy was good in Inception, it's MMA which I'm not as sold on as say a boxing movie.

28. Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom

Plot: A banished hero of Rome allies with a sworn enemy to take his revenge on the city.

Why it is where it is: One of the few Shakespeare plays not made into a movie yet, this one takes place in current time. I don't really like that about it(would be better in shakespearen time), I know too much about the plot, but like Butler in a role like this. Fiennes is acting and directing which don't always work.

26. Drive Angry

Stars: Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard

Plot: A vengeful father chases after the men who killed his daughter.

Why it is where it is: It sounds so decent until you see the trailer. Not as good as it sounds. 3d though, and of course our hero.

25. Caesar: Rise of the Apes

Plot: An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

Why it is where it is: Smeagol is back in his computer animated form, except this time as an ape, leading Franco against a revolution which is sure to win. I liked the Burton version, if it could be anything similar I would be all aboard.

24. I Am Number Four

Stars: Steven Spielberg (P)

Plot: John is an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have already been killed ... he is Number Four.

Why it is where it is: Some of the teenage vampire actors don't inspire confidence in me. The plot doesn't sound too thrilling either. But when watching the trailer, then end actually looks like it has some decent stuff.

23. Paul

Stars: Seth Rogen, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Sigourney Weaver

Plot: Two British comic-book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51.

Why it is where it is: Has the Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the dead duo leading an alien voiced by Rogen. It looks like it could keep me entertained, it could be going after that younger audience though.

Plot: A boxing drama set in the near-future where 2,000-pound robots that look like humans do battle.

Why it is where it is: Transformers meets Rocky? I hope... probably not... but again may be watchable enough to be entertaining.

Plot: The story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget, by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.

Why it is where it is: Spending as much time on fantasy baseball formulas might give me some feeling for this movie. Plus Pitt is a good actor.

Plot: 14th-century knights transport a suspected witch to a monastery, where monks deduce her powers could be the source of the Black Plague.

Why it is where it is: This is my kind of movie, hate to say that Cage might ruin it. But he doesn't ruin the trailer and that's good enough for me.

Plot: The story centers around a family with three boys in the 1950s. The eldest son witnesses the loss of innocence.

Why it is where it is: It's taken me awhile, but I'm getting interested in this movie. Hopefully better and uplifing than a typical drama or movie where things don't blow up. Pitt of course is great.

Stars: Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger

Plot: A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

Why it is where it is: The trailer almost gives away the whole movie. It sounded like a good plot, and I'll still see it at some point. But it's more likely going to be the Forgotten opposed to Taken.

16. Immortals

Stars: Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, John Hurt

Plot: Greek warrior Theseus battles against imprisoned titans.

Why it is where it is: Like the whole greek gods/olympus thing. Track record of these movies isn't good. (Clash of the Titans) Rourke and Doriff have my attention though.

15. Scream 4

Stars: David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Hayden Panettiere

Plot: Ten years have passed, and Sidney Prescott, who has put herself back together thanks in part to her writing, is visited by the Ghostface Killer.

Why it is where it is: Hasn't been good since the first one, but returning all the cast and adding annoying Panettiere. There at least is some mystery finding out the killer.

Plot: Some alien is released after a train crash?

Why it is where it is: Again, we know nothing about this, trailer doesn't show much. Could be anywhere from ET, to Signs.

Plot: A lawyer conducts business from the back of his Lincoln town car while representing a high-profile client in Beverly Hills.

Why it is where it is: McConaughey returning as a lawyer like in Time to Kill. Not sure what's up with the car, but hopefully it isn't a dumb gimmick.

Plot: Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.

Why it is where it is: Liked the first one enough. This one has potential to be just as good, unless they butcher it completely which usually how most sequels go, but Downey is real good these days.

Plot: 4th movie

Why it is where it is: No plot yet, same returning characters from each. I've like all of them so far, so I'd give it a chance.

Why it is where it is: First one was good, Galifinakis's act hasn't quite gotten old with me yet. Clinton and Neeson should make for good cameos.

Why it is where it is: Could be like Skyline, which I haven't saw but was supposed to be terrible. Could it ever surpass ID4? Probably not, but I'm going to watch it anyway.

Plot: A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. A posse of cowboys are all that stand in their way.

Why it is where it is: I'm all over anything Ford does these days. Has an interesting premise. Craig's character looks intriguing from the trailer.

7. Sucker Punch

Plot: A young girl is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her

Why it is where it is: The actors are all foreign to me, same look as Sin City, 300 and Watchmen. Could be that good, could also be the Spirit...

6. The Green Lantern

Stars: Ryan Reynolds

Plot: A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.

Why it is where it is: I honestly don't know much about GL. Reynolds doesn't strike me as a superhero, no matter how much they try to dress him up as one. He is funny though and the trailer does look good.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Stars: Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Penélope Cruz, Keith Richards

Plot: Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too.

Why it is where it is: No Bloom sadly, but no Keira Knightley which is good. Trailer looks funny, has enough potential to be better than the third, as if that would be hard.

4. Thor

Stars: Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo

Plot: The powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.

Why it is where it is: Trailer looks good, Portman really bugs me at this point though.

Plot: After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.

Why it is where it is: My expectations are below Iron Man, but above Hulk and Thor. Love seeing this avengers movie come together. Hugo Weaving is amazing, and will be as Red Skull. Evans as the Human Torch in the same world as Captain America is perplexing.

2. X-Men: First Class

Stars: Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt,

Plot: Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.

Why it is where it is: We really don't know anything about this except it's supposed to be younger versions of the characters. Love everything about the X-Men though so I'm excited to see it. Oh and Kevin Bacon.

Plot: The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle.

The lions didn't blow the number two overall pick, most certainly making a good decision to pick Calvin Johnson. That being said, they had 3 number 2's which were all insane. All in all 8 picks, and only Calvin to make something of a career. Drew Stanton did win some games this year, but never justified that 43 overall selection.

Hester is headed for the hall of fame, Jennings is amazing, MJD has over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns.

Another Top 10 pick, what a shock. Wasted pick in another wide receiver. If Charles Rogers didn't send this organization back enough years, Mike Williams sure did. Williams is having his best year this year, but for Seattle. He couldn't even make it on the field for the Lions despite being the third WR taken in the top 10. You could probably argue Troy Williamson and Braylon Edwards were just as big of busts. But at least Edwards has shown potential despite his dropsies.

This whole draft was a waste and one of the reasons the Lions have been in such dismay.

This one ought to be fun. Two first rounders, Kevin Jones... not sure if he's in the league anymore and Roy Williams and his first down arm.

Jones was hurt near the end and had the same terrible offensive line we have now, but he just didn't live up to his draft position.

Williams on the other hand was talented. We ripped off Dallas by trading him for a 1 and a 3. Probably the best receiver since Morton. That first down thing that he does when being down 3 touchdowns was infuriating. Had some good Kitna years, but at the end he couldn't catch simple crossing routes as those poor Cowboys learned last weekend.

Uhh, one of the worst drafts started off by one of the biggest busts in NFL history. Charles Rogers ended up playing 15 games in his career, catching 400 yards and 4 touchdowns. Not great for a normal NFLer, but for the second overall pick...just dreadful. Set the Lions back 2 years alone. Some of it wasn't his fault. The man had terrible injury problems, and he did look decent before the first collarbone incident. However it was reveled he had a drug problem, and that he failed one test already that the Lions knew about when he was drafted. I think he suffered from the same problem Matt Leinart did, being too close too his old school and friends when he really just needed a new start.

Interesting article here about Roy Williams blasting the Lions offensive line for their woes and praising ex president Matt Millen. I've never wanted the Lions to destroy Dallas more than this week. Williams goes on to say the Lions are cursed but will some day become the Saints and win it from the cellar.

Harrington suffered some of the same problems that David Carr did though not getting sacked as much as Carr, Harrington had a nasty habit of throwing to wrong team. (70 turnovers in 4 years.)

Freeney has had 90 sacks since 2002, while the Lions combined have had 270 in that period. That's about a third, and Freeney has missed 10 games in his career.

You can make a real strong argument for Haynesworth or Reed. The Lions had a bigger need at DE, thus the next pick they made. Reed became a shut down corner which was also a need. Clearly so many choices would have been better than Joey here.

Two time pro-bowler Bentley started every game of his career for the Saints until a torn tendon knocked him out of football.

Goodman couldn't stay on the field, played about 40 games in 4 years. 5 interceptions in 40 games wasn't great.

Future Lions QB Josh McCown was taken in this round, Hope or Witherspoon would have been the pick here in hindsight.

RE-drafting the Lions - 2001

I've been a football fan since well 2001. I never really liked it in high school for some reason but probably when I discovered fantasy football I started liking it immediately(dropping pro wrestling as real sport of choice).

Coincidentally this is when Matt Millen took over. The man single handed ruined the Lions well pretty much up until now.

"You're taking what is sure to be a ratings-winner in the Midwest area, and you're forcing people to have to listen to the spewings of a man who destroyed professional football in the state." If the Lions had Drew Brees, they wouldn't have drafted a terrible Joey Blue Skies or an injury prone Matthew Stafford and instead gotten a pro bowl caliber QB. Clements and Jenkins are also tempting as they are still staples at their position. Light's been protecting Tom Brady for years so he can't be bad.

Round 2: 50. Detroit Lions - Dominic Raiola - C Nebraska

Dyson and Henry had good years, Chambers has been consistent. Is it sad to say Raiola might have been a good pick? He's started all these years.

Rogers had some great years, but then started cashing it in. If he had Wilson or Burgess here, the Lions would have been much happier.

Two wide receivers is probably not a good thing in a draft, but they did get one so there must have been some need at this point. And they would be that much better of with TJ whoseyourmomma over Anderson.

Undrafted - Miami Dolphins - Adewale Ogunleye DE

They didn't need McMahon, let's be honest. For a 3rd string QB, I guess that's where you draft one, in the 5th round. But again would have been much better off with anything else.

Round 6: 173. Detroit Lions - Jason Glenn - LB Texas A&M

Washington Redskins - Antonio Pierce LB

I don't remember if Jason Glenn was productive or not. He started one game in his career. Tight. Antonio Pierece on the other hand: 686 career tackles and started every game he played last year for the Giants.

31 Scary Movies for October

October is my favorite month of the year officially. It’s taken me 27 years to come to this conclusion, but my reasons for it couldn’t have come earlier in life. The whole changing of the colors, the temperature being not too hot, nor too cold are two minor things. I still like the spring smell, though actually every season except winter is fine in my book. Cider mills have become a favorite thing for Hellen and I to go see. The food, love my cider and donuts and it always feels like a good time for Chinese food at this time of the year.

My biggest reason for liking October is Halloween. I think I dressed up in ninth grade for the last time and missed about 8 years of dressing up. The last few years though I have been all in, it’s a shameless, nerdy thing to do, both of which I very much am. The main reason Halloween gets me so excited though is the scary/horror movies. Not that I can’t get into a scary movie at other times of the year, but it’s just the perfect time. Last year Hellen and I went to see Drag Me To Hell at cheap movie 16 at Universal Mall, we got donuts and some guy was being a smart ass for the first half of the movie. ‘Damn that bitch ugly’ during a scary moment for example. I just started getting into the mood of the whole fall watching scary movies mood. I’d say the last 3 years now I’ve been all in on devoting October to watching scary movies.

That being said, it was my goal this year to watch one horror movie a day. That makes 31 of them for the month of October. I hit my goal though I did skip some days/watch 2 other days. Per usual, I decided to rank them and give my reasons for each.

The 2 that didn't make the cut:
Santa's slay
Funny scene at the beginning, Bill Goldberg as Santa was funny. Mostly crap.

Sleep Walkers
A son and his mom are cats, except the son starts liking a girl even though they eat girls? Pretty awful.

31. Friday the 13th 2

I’m more into Halloween Texas or even Nightmare than these Friday ones. I didn’t realize after watching this one, Jason still didn’t have the trademark mask.(The mom was the killer in the original) I’m not even sure they played up the whole only water scares him thing in this. Pass.

30. My Name Is Bruce

Bruce Campbell make his own version of ‘The 3 Amigos’ in which he (Bruce Campbell the actor) gets hired to kill a real demon, but he thinks it’s all a movie. Some funny lines, especially the ending. Recommended if you like Campbell or want to compare it to the 3 amigos.

29. Bram Stoker's Dracula

Pretty long movie, even by a Keanu Reeves movie standard. Classic tale of vampires, it was really slow and took me out in some parts. I wouldn’t really recommend it to a general person. The only thing I really liked was Gary Oldman, who played the count.

28. Queen of the Damned

A sequel to interview with a vampire, though it’s really stands on it’s own. The soundtrack is straight from the 90s, and doesn’t have Tom Cruise reprising his role, but does have Aaliyah in her first?/last role.

27. Zombies of Mass Destruction

This movie totally came out of nowhere. Funny zombie movie, started off slow then just cranked it up. One liners galore, not sure if I would watch it again but would recommend it to a zombie buff.

26. Last House On The Left

Original movie made in the 70’s. Wow it looked old, between the clothes and the colors, it almost took me out. I like the premise of the movie: girl gets killed by 4 prison escapees then crash at the parents house. The parents figure out it was them, then extract some revenge. I liked the remake which is why I decided to watch this one, but I would recommend the remake over this one.

25. Warlock

This one was a weird one for me. Not particularly scary, the graphics were downright awful. I didn’t particularly like the casting by either of the heroes, though I did like the warlock. This movie does have a good idea behind it. There is a funny line by a little kid, “aren’t witches supposed to be girls?” The next scene that kid is very much dead.

24. Devils Rejects

Sequel to House of 1000 corpses by Rob Zombie which I loved. I also loved the new Halloween, so I’ve been all in on Rob Zombie. This one is weaker than the original, it also is a continuation of the story and we get some closure. The ‘free bird’ ending is pretty awesome.

23. Texas Chainsaw Massacre

A remake that started a mostly bad trend with Friday the 13th, Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. This one just didn’t have the same feeling of horror that the original did. You get much more gore than the original but just not the same suspense.

22. Human Centipede

Independent movie which came out earlier this year pretty much promises on the only premise you would expect. I didn’t really like the ending and the fact that they say “FIRST SEQUENCE” you know it won’t end well nor do I expect a Human Centipede 2. Some real graphic parts as well as slow moments. Aren’t we passed going to strangers houses in the woods as part of a plot?

21. Orphan

Always knew there would be a twist at the end, that was interesting though. The girl is creepy, not too scary of a movie overall. A good idea that was pretty well done, just pales in scaryness to the Omen or even Child’s Play.

20. Pet Sematary

I expected nothing going into this. But unlike Sleepwalkers, it actually paid off. The acting was really terrible and the characters didn’t behave the way normal people would and were all actually kind of annoying in their own way. Despite all that, some good scares and a good idea.

19. Ringu

Japanese Ring. It wasn’t as scary for me as the American version, though it had lots of the same elements. Maybe since I knew what to expect, it really wasn’t like I was watching a brand new movie. Anyway, like well enough just not as much as the remake.

18. Resident Evil

The first of 4 now movies based on the video game. My favorite by far of the first three I’ve watched. It starts out kind confusing, but once it gets going it almost falls into the Doom/ripped off Aliens idea, but never seems to get that bad. Nice holy shit moment in there, and pretty entertaining movie overall.

17. The Grudge

Remake with enough jumps to keep me entertained watching it for the second time. It’s scary enough for me to ignore any flaws it might have. Sarah Michelle Geller is annoying here though it does have Bill Pullman(Independence Day/Spaceballs) in a funny cameo.

16. Saw 5

This one starts to get crazy. Everything is a flashback, they keep introducing characters and killing them off. Ties the first 3 in together pretty well, but that’s about all that is done well. Has the worst twist if you can call it that.

15. Saw 4

Twist was okay. Plot was good, you still had the sense that it was a part of the story despite the beginning. The whole jigsaw motivation wasn’t clear in this one, but did start putting together Jigsaw’s motive which isn’t done in the previous ones but is added to in later movies.

14. Dark Remains

Everything about this movie gets me, from the cover to the jumpy moments to the woman crawling down the stairs backwards. Hellen didn’t like it maybe indicating it’s not quite as good as I think it is.

13. Saw 7

Could have been better, but I loved the ending. I think if they would have cut this movie 10 minutes sooner, which they might have done if it wasn’t the end of the series, I would have been so pissed at this. Good games in it though. Watched it in 3d which wasn’t really necessary. Dr. Gordon is my favorite character and he comes back in this one!

12. Saw 6

I liked the social message in this one about healthcare. Good flashbacks. Not a good twist ending. The game set up in this one was very interesting in parts. It has Eddie from Family Matters!

11. Night of the Living Dead

Original zombie movie, is it the best ever? Maybe not, it was done in the 60’s and it shows. The first time I watched it, I was pulled in. This being my second time, it was much harder as there are some slow moments.

10. Saw 3

Probably the goriest one, due to the brain surgery in the middle which was cool though pointless. Decent twist, one in which had much more going on that appeared. Didn’t have the same dread the first two had, as the main character(from Braveheart! Yeah!) was never in real danger…kind of.

9. Saw 2

Had a good twist on it. A group of people end up in a house while jigsaw plays a game with a detective while the son is part of the game. One of the more entertaining Saws.

8. What Lies Beneath

Scary movie to me, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tom Cruise bring it. It starts off real slow, and after about 40 minutes in they basically reset the plot. So they really could have cut all that off. Still scary, still good after like my 3rd time watching it.

7. The Hills Have Eyes

Remake, which is my opinion better than the original. It’s almost served better not knowing anything about this movie before going into it. But basically a traveling family gets attacked by hillbillies. It’s actually much better than that sounds.

6. The Crow

Brandon Lee here has the same element that the Heath Ledger’s joker had. I can’t believe I hadn’t watched this before. It might become a Halloween staple to me. I didn’t mind the acting, nor the script and instead got drawn into: did he get killed here? Here? Is that really him here?

5. Event Horizon

I don’t know if Sci Fi-Horror has ever been done so well. I’ve watched this movie so many times, yet it still scares me in parts. It’s that jumpiness which gets me. A ship with a black hole as an engine goes to another dimension and brings back hell with it. Sam Neil is perfect crazy man with Laurence Fishburne as the antagonist.

4. Saw 1

Two men are trapped inside a bathroom with no knowledge of how they got there and attached to chains. Probably the best as you don’t know what’s coming. You don’t know there is a twist, the whole saw idea is used for only the second time in the whole series.

3. Van Helsing

I seem to watch this movie every year as one of my favorite Halloween movies. It just has the combination of Vampires, Werewolves and even some Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll thrown in. An action movie more than anything, like Hugh Jackman as well.

2. Evil Dead

We went to see an evil dead play, so I wanted to watch the original. It’s still amazing to me for the tiny budget that it had. I think it’s that perfect blend of scary and funny. A group of friends go stay at a cabin which happens to contain the book of the dead.

1. Zombieland

Such a funny and clever movie. A must watch for anyone a fan of zombies, funny movies or Woody who just kills it. If you really need a reason to watch it, it would the cameo right in the middle which for me was just perfect.
